My life is just that, it is my life. I am who I am and I am worth living for. I have my views, options, wants and needs. I crave the attention of my husband, I need him to show me i'm worth living for. Why? Because he is part of my life. He is the father of my daughter, the reason why I have a roof over my head and food in my belly. With out him i'm not sure where life would have taken me. I am truly blessed to have him in my life. But that leads me to the the first sentence... this is MY life. I hate feeling like I have to be someone i'm not. I feel like I AM trapped in this world, trying to be someone i'm not. I find my self not caring sometimes and on other days I live my life to its fullest. Where does the line begin where I am being selfish VS being a good wife and living my life how my husband thinks I should? Now i'm not talking about changing who I am as a person, but more of how things should be done and when they should be done and his attitude towards me. Am I being overly sensitive? Should I take the high road and just put my feelings aside?
I understand divorce rates are high, people just don't want to try anymore. It's sad. People are so self absorbed it ruins relationships. I would never want that to happen, taking the high road can be the answer. If I listen to my husbands needs, the way he treats me will be equal. Sounds easy enough right? Only if my husband is a decent man would this work, and he is. My goal for the next year is to better my self. get rid of this funk and start living my life. Be a better wife and show my husband why he fell in love with me in the first place. I need to focus first on my well being, after all this is my life right? I can't help others with out helping my self first. Just to be clear, my marriage isn't in jeopardy. it is just dandy. But I understand why they are so high. Love is worth fighting for.
